Our Story

Our history is rooted in honesty and integrity.

In 1945, our family purchased a farm with simply a handshake. As the story goes, when this member of our family informed his wife, she insisted it was too much money and that he should back out of the deal. He replied, “I can’t do that. We shook hands. I gave my word.” The legacy of this trust-based transaction has shaped who we are as a family for generations, and continues to guide us as we conduct business with you — more than 75 years later. Reed Lake is still in our family; it’s part of a beautiful operating farm in Arkansas
